The past winter was the coldest in the last thirty years, so with spring on its way it may not be a bad time to prepare for next winter, which only promises to be worse.
There are many ways that you can save some money by making your home energy efficient because most heat loss occurs through the loft and the walls due to poor insulation. In fact, taking the time to insulate your home could reduce your heating bills by about £150 per year.
To help motivate you to start thinking about it the Energy Saving Trust is giving five people the lucky chance to win loft installation for free in Merseyside.
In order to be one of those five lucky people, all you have to do is answer a multiple choice question correctly, which asks how much money you could save every year on heat if you insulate your loft. After choosing the answer, mail it in with your name, contact phone number, and address to the following address:

Out of the correct answers five will be picked randomly with the winners notified on April 16th 2010. Get your envelopes ready now because the competition will end on April 9th 2010 and is only open to those that live in England and are over the age of 18. Only one entry is allowed per home and the loft must have less than 60mm of insulation in order for the work to start.
