Free OnLive games service

One hour after the E3 show is over on June 17th the OnLive service will start free of charge.

Chief executive of OnLive, Steve Perlman, stated that on Thursday the company will begin starting accounts of the remote gaming service but customers that sign up today and they will get the first year of the new service free.

Perlman stated that there is no catch or reading in between the lines and users will not have to pay a penny to try the service although they will be charged if they rent or purchase any games.  However, players are welcome to try out any demos free of any charge.

Those who want to keep the service after a year of membership can keep it for about six pounds although they can also halt the service or cancel it completely at any time.

Even better, this free trial year of membership does not include any sponsored ads allowing for play free of all distractions.

Perlman also said that all broadband connections will be supported so there is no reason not to give the OnLive gaming service a try during the trial period.

The OnLive service is able to remotely process GPU and CPU power so that all the latest fames can be played without the need for upgrades which can be costly and space consuming.  Included in the list of available games on the service are all the top gaming titles as well as plenty of more to fit every player’s needs.
