Home Access is a government drive that allows low income families an opportunity to get the internet and a computer so that they can make full use of the online world.
If you qualify as a low income family, you can receive a computer grant and at least one year of free internet access. In some cases depending on how eligible a family is a computer may be offered with service and support and / or a year’s access to the internet.
In particular the aim of the programme is to help families that do not have access to the internet get online at home, even when they cannot afford the service.
In order to get an application or check to see if you qualify for the Home Access grant you can head to www.homeaccess.org.uk and print out an application form.
People who work for a school, organization, or local authority can also receive information on this website about how to help local families in their community get online.
Even those that have already received a home access grant may be eligible to qualify this year for internet packages so it is worth taking a second look into.
